Parking MarcoPolo to and from the Port of Venice
MarcoPolo Car Park offers a free shuttle service to and from the Port of Venice. We at MarcoPolo Car Park were the first parking service to offer a free shuttle accompanying travellers to the Maritime docks to board on large cruise ships or to the San Basilio docks to board on the smaller cruise ships. For many years we have been the leader in the sector and we guarantee a team of people at your service who will accompany you on a short shuttle journey (only 20 minutes) to leave for a holiday of fun and relaxation. A service combining our trademark professionalism and friendliness.
The Port of Venice is Italy’s eighth in terms of commercial traffic volume, and one of the major Mediterranean cruise ports. The port was first developed under the Austrians during the 19th century although it was later neglected in favour of Trieste, considered to be more functional and cheaper; it was not until the 1950s that the port facilities were expanded. In 2009 it was the first “home port” in the Mediterranean, Europe’s third passenger port and the eleventh in the world in terms of cruise traffic. The main links include Greece, Egypt, Syria, Croatia and Slovenia. Today the Port of Venice handles over 1.5 million passenger departures annually thanks also to a major investment policy concerning the Maritime Station.
